Our mission at Kohl’s Resort is to Spread Good … We want to spread Good to our guests, customers, partners and our community. We are honored to have the opportunity to help our guests make memories all while enjoying the natural beauty the Northwoods has to offer.
Kohl’s Resort is entirely dog friendly so you don't have to leave your four-legged family behind! Our resort dog will be happy to greet you when you arrive at Kohl’s Resort.
There is an additional $25 per day per dog charge. Please make sure we know of your dog’s arrival before check-in. They must be on a leash outdoors and cleaned up after at all times. We ask that you do not allow your pets on the furniture in the cabins. They are allowed on our rental boats if they are your favorite fishing buddy!
A deposit of 50% of the total balance due is required to secure your reservation. Reservations made 10 days or less prior to check in date require full payment (non-refundable) at time of reservation.
In case of cancellation, deposit will be refunded (less a $100 service charge) if all resort vacancies are filled at full season rates. Our deposit fee is nonrefundable should your cancellation not be filled. The deposit is refundable if you find your replacement. Rental rates are subject to MN Sales Tax.
We accept cash, personal checks, travelers checks, money orders and all major credit cards. Please note that there is a 4% fee added to all credit card transactions. Telephone reservations will be held for five days while awaiting a check to be received for the deposit.
Balance of cabin rental is due upon check-in. The person who provided their information to us for the reservation is responsible for the payment for the full length of the reservation. Guests are responsible for any damages to Kohl’s Resort property. Boat rentals included.
For the privacy and security of our guests, all visitors MUST register at the office. All resort guests must be registered at the office and registration is non-transferable. There is a $15 per day per person visitor charge.
Rates are based on occupancy as noted. Add $230 per week or $45 per day for each guest above base occupancy.
We invite you to chat with us about recommendations for local guide services, fishing tips, golf cart rental, restaurants, shopping, etc. Anything we can help do to make your time at Kohl’s Resort the absolute best that it can be.
Check In: Our peak season is June through August. During that time we do require a week’s stay (Saturday to Saturday).
We’ll be ready for you to check into your Northwoods vacation at 4pm on Saturdays. Early check-ins can be accommodated for an additional fee and must be arranged prior to check in day.
Check Out: Check-out during our peak season is 9am. Please follow the check-out instructions posted in your cabin. We ask that you close your bill and REBOOK FOR NEXT YEAR before 7pm on Fridays. (Rebooking at the time of check out will secure current rates for NEXT YEAR’S reservations.)
We encourage guests to share their vacation experiences with friends and on social media: fishing Big Turtle Lake, our amazing sunsets, the gorgeous resort grounds or even the Deep Fried Pickles at Liar’s Lounge.
Simply have the person mention who referred them to Kohl’s Resort. We will reward YOU with a $100 referral credit on your next stay after they have completed their stay with us. Please note that the referral must be a “New” guest to Kohl’s Resort and not just an exchange of names on a rental unit.
