BASS FISHING TOURNAMENT AT KOHL'S RESORT
Big Turtle Fall Classic
You'll fish the connected waters of Big Turtle, Movil, and Little Turtle Lakes - some of the best bass fishing in northern Minnesota.
The tournament runs through the FishDonkey app, which handles registration, scoring, and live leaderboards. You'll photograph your catch and release it back to keep our fishery healthy for everyone.
This is catch, photo, and release format targeting largemouth and smallmouth bass.
Minimum 12" length, and we don't round up short fish.
What You Need to Know
THE BASICS:
- WHEN: Saturday, October 3, 2026
- WHERE: Big Turtle Lake, Movil Lake, Little Turtle Lake
- WHAT: Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass • 12" minimum • Win up to $1250 per hour!
- ENTRY: $400 per boat (2-person teams)
- AWARDS: 4:00 PM ceremony
- TOTAL PRIZES: Over $10,000 with hourly winners
Family and friends are invited to join us at Kohl’s Resort during the tournament, award ceremony, and live music to enjoy the festivities.
REGISTRATION OPENS: Friday, May 1, 2026
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, September 21, 2026 (or until full – up to 30 boats)
MINIMUM BOATS: Tournament runs with 20 boats minimum. If we don't hit 20 by September 24th, we'll cancel and issue refunds.
We're using catch, photo, and release to keep our fishery healthy for everyone. You'll measure and photograph your catch using the FishDonkey app, which converts length to weight for scoring. Download the FishDonkey app and search "Big Turtle Fall Classic" to register your team. Limited to 30 boats.
