Our mission at Kohl’s Resort is to Spread Good … We want to spread Good to our guests, customers, partners and our community. We are honored to have the opportunity to help our guests make memories all while enjoying the natural beauty the Northwoods has to offer.

Kohl’s Resort is entirely dog friendly so you don't have to leave your four-legged family behind! Our resort dog will be happy to greet you when you arrive at Kohl’s Resort.

There is an additional $25 per day per dog charge. Please make sure we know of your dog’s arrival before check-in. They must be on a leash outdoors and cleaned up after at all times. We ask that you do not allow your pets on the furniture in the cabins. They are allowed on our rental boats if they are your favorite fishing buddy!

A deposit of 50% of the total balance due is required to secure your reservation. Reservations made 10 days or less prior to check in date require full payment (non-refundable) at time of reservation.

Deposits are nonrefundable unless the cancelled reservation is rebooked. If we are able to refill your reservation at full seasonal rates, your deposit will be refunded less a $100 service fee.

Guests are welcome to find their own replacement reservation. If you provide a replacement booking for the same dates, your deposit will be fully refunded.

For reservations of 4 nights or fewer, deposits may be transferred to a future stay if notice is given at least 30 days prior to arrival. For reservations of 5 nights or more, notice must be given at least 60 days prior to arrival. Transferred deposits must be used within one year of the original reservation date.

If a cancellation occurs inside the required notice period and the reservation is not rebooked, the deposit will be forfeited.

Rental rates are subject to Minnesota sales tax.

Balance of cabin rental is due upon check-in. The person who provided their information to us for the reservation is responsible for the payment for the full length of the reservation. Guests are responsible for any damages to Kohl’s Resort property. Boat rentals included.

We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and all major credit cards. A 4% processing fee applies to all credit card transactions.

For the privacy and security of our guests, all visitors MUST register at the office. All resort guests must be registered at the office and registration is non-transferable. There is a $15 per day per person visitor charge.

Rates are based on occupancy as noted. Add $230 per week or $45 per day for each guest above base occupancy.

• Check-in begins at 4:00 PM.
• Summer stays (June–August): check-out is at 9:00 AM
• Spring, Fall, and Winter stays: check-out is at 11:00 AM

Early check-ins may be available for an additional fee and must be arranged in advance.

• Spring, Fall, and Winter: 1-night minimum
• Summer (June–August): 3-night minimum
• • Full week stays run Sunday to Sunday.

Guest Texting: When you book, you can choose to receive text messages from Kohl's Resort about your stay (confirmation, arrival information, checkout reminder, balance reminders, and a one-question rating after your visit) by checking the "Text me about this stay" box or telling our office you would like texts. Texting is optional. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. We invite you to chat with us about recommendations for local guide services, fishing tips, golf cart rental, restaurants, shopping, etc. Anything we can help do to make your time at Kohl’s Resort the absolute best that it can be.

We encourage guests to share their vacation experiences with friends and on social media: fishing Big Turtle Lake, our amazing sunsets, the gorgeous resort grounds or even the Deep Fried Pickles at Liar’s Lounge.

Simply have the person mention who referred them to Kohl’s Resort. We will reward YOU with a $100 referral credit on your next stay after they have completed their stay with us. Please note that the referral must be a “New” guest to Kohl’s Resort and not just an exchange of names on a rental unit.
