While many think of us as a summer getaway (and yes, those sunny days on Big Turtle Lake are pretty special), our winter transforms into a wonderland of its own. Minnesota snowmobile trails wind through frosted pines, ice houses dot the lake, and the crunch of snow beneath your snowshoes creates perfect memory-making moments. Summer in Bemidji calls for swimming and hiking, while winter invites you to warm up by the fire after a day of ice fishing.

Summer Activities
At Kohl's Resort, kids run out of daylight, never things to do.
Every year we revisit our activities to make sure we're providing the best summer possible. Our dedicated staff brings energy to everything from mini-golf tournaments at Woodlands Putt Putt to creative sandcastle competitions at the beach. Tie-dye parties become family photo opportunities, and morning activities turn strangers into friends by week's end. Come for one activity or come for them all. Whatever floats your boat.
However your family does vacation - all together or with a little breathing room - the lake has a way of making it just right.
SUNDAY:
All Day Kids Treasure Hunt – Stop by the Lodge any time to pick up your clues. Bring your answers back by Tuesday morning for a prize!
MONDAY:
10:30 a.m. Yoga at the Lake - Brought to you by our wonderful friends at The Yoga Studio in Bemidji. Meet us outside of Liar's Lounge. Great for beginners and expert yogis alike. Bring a mat or a towel.
11 a.m. Medallion Hunt Begins - First clue is given! Find the coveted medallion and receive a special prize. New clues posted daily
TUESDAY:
2 p.m. Tie Dye Party Time - Meet us at the A-Frame. Get creative with us to make your very own Tie Dye Tshirt to take home for a lasting memory of your time with us. Kids' shirts are $5. Adults shirts are $10.
All Day Photo Hunt – Stop by the Lodge any time to pick up your clues. You'll need to explore & photograph the beauty of our northern MN Resort. Turn it in by Friday for a prize!
WEDNESDAY:
11 a.m. Sandcastle Contest – Get your team together & meet at the beach! Judging begins at noon, so bring your best sand-sculpting skills!

12 p.m. - 3 p.m. Beach Party - It's Turtle Lake Tiki Time! Come down to the Big Turtle Beach Club for special activities dressed in your best beachwear! Enjoy our tiki bar themed party with happy hour and secret menu drinks, karaoke, and a limbo contest!
6 p.m. Mississippi Music at the Paul Bunyan Park Waterfront - Mississippi Music at the Bemidji Waterfront is a weekly concert series held most Wednesday evenings during the summer.
THURSDAY:
11 a.m. Woodland Putt Putt Competition – Meet at the Woodlands Mini Golf Course on the backside of the Resort for a putting challenge. Champions will receive a weekly prize. The Grand Champion of the SUMMER will receive a Kohl's Resort Apparel Package + $150 off next year's reservation at Kohl’s Resort.
2 p.m. B-I-N-G-O – Live at the A-Frame! This one is always a guest favorite! Join the FUN FOR ALL AGES!
7 - 9 p.m. Campfire & S’mores Night – Enjoy a smore on us while overlooking BIG TURTLE LAKE from our Sunset Terrace Fire Pit in front of Liar’s Lounge.
FRIDAY:
11:00 a.m. Minnow Races – Join us outside Liar’s Lounge! Family races are encouraged as well as competitions between cabins!
